ON4: Colin Bonnicksen, Montana Football

Welcome to episode number four of Ops Nation, the flagship podcast for AthleticOps.com. In this episode of Ops Nation, we’re talking to the Director of Operations for the University of Montana football team, Colin Bonnicksen. Colin is starting year number 3 with the Griz and he’s as excited as his rookie season to get rolling.

In this episode Ryan talks about growing up in Iowa, his experience at several NCAA D2 schools, the non-stop work at the Colorado School of Mines, the fans that make up “Griz Nation” (over 65% drive more than three hours to attend the home football games), his love for the interaction with the football players, the winning tradition of Montana football, and leaning on people to learn the ropes.

  • Checklists on the whiteboard. “I’m a big checklist guy – especially for repetitive tasks. This is especially important for my road trip tasks.”
