ON31: Jemal Griffin, Penn State Football

James Franklin has built quite a resume in his coaching career — not only for winning, but for the way he runs his organization and how he goes about his business. One of the reasons for this success is the quality people that he surrounds himself with. In this episode, Jemal discusses his initial foray into the business world, looking for his “why”, moving into coaching and teaching at the high school level, finding a fit at the University of Maryland, his relationship with James Franklin, the move to Vanderbilt and a new organizational structure, the move to Penn State, the organizational setup at Penn State, his relationship with school administration, budget, influencing young people, the work/life balance, and advice to those looking to enter the business.
