This week’s episode takes us to New Orleans, where we’re talking to a former coach who’s found her niche on the administrative side, working with the women’s basketball program at Tulane University. Lindsay Werntz started her playing days as a Freeport (IL) Pretzel and wound her way through several coaching stops before landing at Tulane.
In this episode, Lindsay talks about her many coaching stops, the move from coaching into operations, how welcoming she’s found the city of New Orleans, how being a former player and coach has helped her on the operations side, how good operations people are problem solvers, the intricacies of building a college basketball schedule, community service programs for the players like Special Olympics and mentor programs, and her ten year vision.
