SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head women’s basketball coach Mary Burke is pleased to announce the addition of Morgan Olander as the Director of Basketball Operations for the 2017-18 season.
“I am extremely excited to have Morgan continue her involvement with the women’s basketball program at the administrative level,” Burke said. “She was a part of a tremendous amount of winning over her four-year career on the court and in the classroom, and will most certainly be an asset for me as we continue to compete at the highest levels in the NEC. Morgan’s experience as a player for me and her leadership over the years will only be an asset going forward.”
Olander graduated from Bryant in 2017 after a standout four-year career on the hardwood for Burke. She appeared in at least 30+ games all four seasons and finished second all-time in games played in program history (122). Olander averaged 7.0 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game and nearly a block per game during her career. She posted 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a senior, leading the Black and Gold to their first-ever Northeast Conference finals appearance.
